Fostering Inclusivity in Indian Cinema: My Insights at India Foundation's Roundtable Discussion

Updated: Dec 12, 2023

I recently participated in a roundtable discussion organized by India Foundation on "Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity in Indian Cinema". The event, chaired by Shri Guru Prakash Paswan, provided a platform to emphasize the importance of inclusivity in the film industry for equal representation of all groups from varying backgrounds. As an Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham and a member of various commissions in Australia, I shared my experiences and perspectives on enhancing diversity in cinema, aligning with the broader goals of social equality and cultural inclusivity.
