As the year draws to a close, I am pleased to share that my research work has been recognised at the RKE Impact Awards at the University of Nottingham, Ningbo.

Dr Vikrant Kishore - RKE Certificate of Merit 2024 - University of Nottingham

I received Certificates of Merit in two categories, reflecting efforts in both individual and team-based projects. The first project focused on social justice and inclusion, an area that continues to shape critical discussions in academic and policy spaces. The second, a collaborative study, mapped Ningbo’s creative industry, with my contribution centring on mask cultures—specifically, Chhau from India and Yong Opera from China. This research led to the development of a policy framework aimed at supporting cultural heritage preservation.

This recognition marks an encouraging conclusion to a year filled with extensive fieldwork across Australia, India, and China. Engaging with diverse communities and documenting traditional practices has been both demanding and fulfilling.

I extend my sincere gratitude to colleagues, collaborators, and communities who have contributed to this journey. Your support has been invaluable, and I look forward to continuing this work in the coming year.
