Dr Kishore was felicitated with "WIL Staff of the Year" award 2014 by the University of Newcastle for his work integrated learning project in an international folklore festival in France.
Dr Kishore conceptualised and led the Work Integrated Learning project - An International Internship for Media students in the International Folklore Festival of Gannat in France organised by Association Nationale Cultures Du Monde (ANCM), a partner NGO of UNESCO.
The project received Australian Federal Government Mobility Programme (New Colombo Plan) Funding of $13,500 each year in 2013 and 2014. ANCM provided in kind support worth $10,000 to support the students' travel and accomodation in France.
In this project students got a chance to work as filmmaker, journalist, and Public Relations personnel for the festival. The students made short documentaries, news reports, and maintained the social media for the festival.
